1. Information we collect

• Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses when you provide them.
• Order information: products purchased, quantities, transaction amounts, payment status, shipping details, and correspondence about an order. Payments and orders are processed by Shopify and its payment providers; payment details are handled by those providers.
• Quiz and marketing information: answers such as when your energy drops and what you are running on, subscription preferences, and interactions with our emails.
• Device and browsing information: IP address, browser and device type, pages and products viewed, cart activity, referring pages, and approximate location derived from technical information.
• Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers used to support shopping, remember preferences, understand site activity and personalize communications.

2. How we use information

• Process payments, fulfill and deliver orders, provide customer support, and communicate about purchases.
• Send marketing emails and offers when you subscribe, and manage your communication preferences.
• Personalize product recommendations and messages using quiz answers and shopping activity.
• Measure website and email performance, analyze browsing and cart activity, and improve our products and services.
• Detect fraud, protect our website, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations.

3. Email marketing and Klaviyo

We use Klaviyo to manage email subscriptions, send marketing messages, and understand interactions with our website and emails. If you subscribe through our quiz, your email address and quiz answers are shared with Klaviyo to deliver and personalize those messages. If you opt in to texts, your mobile number is shared with Klaviyo to send them. Klaviyo’s onsite tools may associate product views and cart activity with your profile.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us at info@absorbedpouches.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary order or service communications.

4. SMS / text message marketing

The program name is ABSORBED. If you opt in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages (such as cart reminders and offers) from ABSORBED at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time; after you reply STOP you will receive one confirmation message and no further marketing texts. You can also get help at info@absorbedpouches.com. You must be 18 or older to opt in. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We use Klaviyo to send text messages.

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes; they are shared only with service providers that help us deliver the messages.

5. How we disclose information

We disclose information to service providers that help operate our business, including Shopify for order and payment processing, Klaviyo for email and SMS marketing, and providers for shipping, analytics, technology and customer support. These providers receive information needed to provide their services, subject to applicable agreements and their privacy practices.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or other business transfer, subject to applicable law. We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and your choices

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect shopping features and saved preferences. You can also choose not to complete the quiz or subscribe to marketing. Where applicable law requires consent for particular cookies or uses, those requirements apply independently of this policy.

7. California privacy rights

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA), where applicable. These include the right to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you, the sources and purposes of collection, and the categories of recipients; request deletion, subject to legal exceptions; correct inaccurate information; and receive information in a portable format.

You may also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, where applicable. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and an authorized agent may submit a request subject to appropriate authorization and verification. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any applicable exceptions.

8. Data retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including fulfilling orders, maintaining your preferences, providing support, and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations. Retention periods depend on the information and the reason it is held. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful exceptions.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children under 13

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact info@absorbedpouches.com so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
